Readers of True Identity know, I'm both fascinated and proud of my Jewish heritage. That's why I've chosen to write historical thrillers with a Jewish theme. For me, it is an attempt at spiritual understanding and of learning more about the culture that has helped shape who I am.
The study of Jewish history provides a unique perspective on the history of humanity as a whole, as Jews have lived on almost every continent and among most of the world's major cultures. I believe in a living history that can best be understood by experiencing it firsthand through travel. That is why I recently launched my new website and blog, www.JewishNomad.com. My goal is to inform readers of the Jewish history of various locations around the world, as well as of heritage sites, cultural festivals, things to see and do in Israel, travel deals, and more!
But, I ask you to be more than just a passive reader. Get involved and share your stories with us and the world! Tell us about the places of Jewish interest that you've traveled to, and about the Jewish heritage that may be right there in your hometown. It is our story to tell and share with the world. Check out the Your Travel Stories page to learn more.
Here is the introduction from our home page:
Jews have traveled the world since ancient times, sometimes of their own free will and sometimes by force. Their journeys have taken them across the globe in search of honest work, freedom and tolerance. Today, we can follow in their footsteps, seeing where they lived and how they worshiped. This site is dedicated to telling their story and helping travelers make their journeys a Jewish experience!
I encourage you to visit JewishNomad.com soon and often, as we will update frequently. With awareness and insight, you too can make your travels a Jewish experience!
